Any of the Mid Essex, North Kent and South East London bunch fancy meeting at the Hilton, just off the M25 after coming over the Dartford crossing?

We can catch up with Paul V's bunch at Clacket Lane Services en-route.

Remember when on the M25 after junction 10 there are over head cameras, I got flashed at 2 in the morning a few weeks back, haven’t heard anything from it though so fingers crossed.

I got flash by them once doing silly speeds, bu never did receive the ban I was due!

Hopefully they've not changed them since...

That's rather worrying. The GATSO system was intended to be used only when the variable limit signs are on (although there's actualy nothing to stop them being armed all the time).

Were the limit signs switched on, or were you (as anybody would) simply taking full advantage of an empty motorway in the middle of the night?

No limit signs up, and yes I was taking advantage of the empty motorway, cruising around 100, notice a couple of others going at around 90 didn’t get flashed.

Nasty. Maybe the 'off' setting for the system now means 'trip limit set to 100'.

I thought the variable limited ended a few junctions away from 10, after Heathrows and the M3...

Having discussed this with Paul, who's sorting out the meeting at Clackett Lane, a meeting time of 9:30 for a departure at 10:00 seems to be the best idea.

We'll then get to Clacketts for around 10:20 for departure around 10:30.

How does this sound?

Meet at 9:30 for departure at 10:00, 9:00 is far too early, even with the clocks going back!
