So I'm having a bit of trouble picking a gift for a family member, said family member's ideal prezzie would be a bottle of Jack Daniel's or better still two, he doesn't really need anything, doesn't really want anything but I'm looking to give something with a bit of thought behind it that won't destroy his liver.

Short of a one way ticket to 6 months of voluntary work in Africa so he can get some bloody perspective I was thinking of something like this, would the PH massive be awfully disappointed to receive something like this on Christmas day, is a bit lentalist or is it really the thought that counts?

Dear Dave, I was going to give you a Porsche, but I gave it to some African children instead...

I'd probably never speak to you again and ban your prius from entering my village never mind my drive way if ypu bought me such a do-gooder lentil munching lesbian present as that. Either buy him something he'll like or don't bother.

Depends if the person giving it to me would be awfully disappointed when I slapped them upside the head

Depends I would be avoiding them for the rest of my life if someone wasted their time buying such crap.

We were given an Alpaca last year by our lentilist relatives.

When I say given, they didn't actually send one to us, which is a shame....

We got a letter and a fridge magnet with a picture of an Alpaca on it.

A Bit too lentilist for me - I'd think you were a sanctimonious prick if you gave me that, to be honest.

Well - the idea is fair play. But I wouldn't.

There again I don't give people bloody presents anyway. What the fk do grown adults need them for, eh? If you'd needed it you would have bought it already. I give to the next generation when I do...

PH I hear you loud and clear, a bottle of Jack it is for the relative in question who will proceed to drink the lot on Christmas day, get twotted and continue to wander through life in a drunken haze whilst sponging off my parents.

I'm still considering the one-way ticket to somewhere remote though.
