how much to landscape a garden?

Talking about a large town garden, about 170ft deep split into 3 sections at present. Looking to do a lot of rescaping to get it sorted out and just wondering what sort of price? No need for plants and stuff as I have a lot of established trees so just a typical rip out the crap and patch it up job?

It's as good as guess as any other. My garden is about that size and it's about what some companies wanted to do mine a while ago. Included some decking and a new patio though as well.
I got a few bits done and left the rest as lawn, no way I could spend that much on it.
But then again - I'm a Yorkshireman so loath to spend money where I don't have to......

Cpt, the decking is aready done so that leaves the last 2/3rds, the section after the decking is like a traditional English garden/lawn and then the top 1/3rds the wild garden, its probably that which I'm going to concentrate on so I'll budget around the 2k mark based on what you say

This stuff varies a great deal. My wife recently spent £16K on our rear garden. OK. It was a month's work for team, lots of block paving, new patio, all the "soil" removed and decent topsoil brought in, pits dug into the chalk-bedrock for trees, dwarf walls built, a fence and so on. But that didn't even include the plants - which we had to put in from scratch.
It was previously just a big turfed empty space and I'd made a "temporary patio" (didn't bother with dry-mix, just sand) that did us whilst she did the design.

So - if all you want is some beds making up and a dry-mix patio laid you can spend very little or do it yourself and it will cost nothing to peanuts. Go the whole thing and it's a fortune.
Do a plan in advance of what you want and at least when you get quotes it will be for the thing you want to buy and you won't get a nasty surprise at the end. Even more important if you decide to do something big.
