I'm going back to the orginal cables because I liked having to give it a right shove for full throttle...and no sticking eek and I found on ebay a chap who breaks old ford stuff and he's got a couple 2.9 cables (used but they'll do, i'll let you know how good mine is when it comes) and any other 2.9 stuff, he's probably your man.

his email: robwestb33@hotmail.com

He charges 14.99 per cable including postage which ain't bad biggrin

EDITED for missing out word and bad spulling

Why not have one made? I had a company called Spot On Cables in Reading to make one for my S. considerably better than the originals. Has a stainless cable and a ptfe inner lining. Silky smooth and almost unbreakable. They make bespoke cables for the racing world. It was about £26 as I recall. Will try and dig out the paperwork and give you an address.

Please send me the details as well to mark@gbsportscar.com its not needed yet but the cable has definately stretched as it is at the limit of adjustment.

I wonder if they would consider a bulk order and offer any discount.
Given the number of people here that need a cable to either replace one that's on it's way out or hold one as a spare surely we could get enough ordered to make a saving

Hi Norman,

If there is enough interest and I can obtain the details I don't mind looking after this one

OK chaps, I tell you what. I will contact them and see if I can get them to make a bulk order of throttle cables. If I get say 10 cable made, I will sell them for what they cost to make. When I had mine made it was around £26. I would it will be around that sort of price I would imagine. Perhaps you could email me directly to give me some idea of the amount to get done.
