Hi. Friend texted me earlier today to say he is hoping to get an interview with this guy for his local rag (freelancer) and asked me if I knew much about him as he thought he lived in my village! He does not, he's about 40 miles ish away according to the net so I could not help him, but wondered if anyone on here knows much about him?

Seems to be an interesting guy, I remeber him on the Mobile Acts unsigned thing last year and he seemed to be the good guy of the panel, and very enthusiastic too. And I never realised it was him that did the column I occasionally read in the Independant. He's quite excited even though it is not firmed up yet.

He has been featured on MTV Cribs - I saw it last week.

Seems like a nice guy, is having a cheese festival at his farm.

His next door neighbour is Jeremy Clarkson, who he taught to play the drums.

Worse still he is a reformed planet killer, spent many years flying around the world in private planes, touring with blur and generally doing lots of pop starry hi impact things that the greens would have you believe kill the planet; but career over he has seen the light and thinks he should maybe lecture us all about how bad we are.... wow lucky world.

His book is quite entertaining.
During the "war" with Oasis, Blur were utterly skint and living in a squat. They had to do another tour for the Tshirt money to pay the bills, etc.

He once crossed the Kalahari desert from north to South, on foot, with a guide.

It took nearly three weeks.

Met him years ago - get your mate to ask him about the Good Mixer times and the dodgy pool table - always seemed like a nice chap, intelligent and normal.
