Driving to work today I felt a large bang in the drivers rear side and am now getting a loud knocking coming from the boot when driving along. I am as certain as I can be that the rear drivers side suspension spring has broken.

Question. How much to repair? Will any garage do it or just TVR dealer/specialist?

Provided you own or can borrow a set of spring compressors (not needed if you run adjustables) its a peice of cake. Unbolt the damper. Compress and remove spring. Replacement is reverse of removal (I think Mr Haynes once said). Either this or bung your local exhaust/tyre place to do it for you. Springs are not esspenseev and if you contact an independant such as Joospeed im sure he could sort you out the correct poundage/legnth etc.
