F1 cars for sale?

Anyone know where I could get hold of a "proper" (i.e. raced) circa 2000 onwards formula one car?

I have a client who has asked me to source one for him if possible.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Motorsport and Autosport have had a couple of very nice looking F1 cars for sale in their ads sections recently, including Michael Schumacher's Benetton.

Nelson Piquet's Lotus was also for sale recently (without Honda engine) for 70k. If only I had the money I'd get loads becuase they have to go up in value, don't they?

I found my problem, adblock was blocking the Macromedia Flush on that site.

symbolic motor co often have one or two for sale. why bother with post 2001 though when anything pre 81 or thereabouts gets you onto the TGP grid and an old Theodore of Fittipaldi can be had for less than £200K when they come up...

The only time I've ever heard a commentator get really irate was with the woeful Theodore at Monaco this year - Titchmarsh was livid that it had held up Stretton on a balls-out run.

- TGP is for 1966 - 1985 cars, but to win overall you will need a top-end ground effect car.

- Masters Grand Prix run 1966 - 1978 to exclude ground effect and flat-bottomed cars.

- BOSS is now pan-European but they will run anything 1985 - 2005

- Paul Osbourn of Cars International now has the rights to the Ford V10 GP engine and is buying up recent GP cars to fit with this engine and run for customers at special events. I suspect this is the best bet for our thread's originator.

I remember there was a really good tv programme on one of the terrestrials a few years ago that documented a chap who bought 2002-ish formula one car from ferrari. I think he had to sign a few nda's but other than that he could do what he liked with it.

I particularly remember them saying that it was absolutely fine just to run it off unleaded from a petrol station.

Had to stop by Cars International a few months back - had a client in the same mews - spent more time ogling cars than i did with the client

Hall and Bradfield is opposite Cars International in the same mews. They usually have some interesting cars in stock as well, mostly pre-1960. Fiskens isn't far away - near The Natural History Museum. I'm afraid I live in Leeds so my geography of London is shoddy, but they're all within a few minutes of each other.
