Has anyone got a TVR in Germany
Discussion
Has anyone got a TVR in Germany? I'm looking at taking my 98 Chimaera with me sausage-side before the end of the year, with a view to tour it around mainland europe.
What changes do I need to make to make it German Standard (i.e light changes) and how much will it cost?
How difficult will it be for 23/24 year old to get insurance and how expensive will it be compared to the UK ( around £1200 p.a.)?
Finally where is best for servicing and parts?
Thanks
Gary

Hi Gary
Have a look here: http://www.tvrcarclub.de/ and ask again here or use the searchfunktion:

If you join the german TVR-CC you can get discounted insurance. I pay ca 800.-€ fullycomp on a limited milage of 5000 km per year but I am a bit older than you at 39. But what you pay also depends on the value of the car and as yours is probably rhd it would be worth less over here so insurance is also less.
Any more questions just PM me or post on the german forum.
Cheers Jens
