Cutting Glass

Today I have the joyous task of cutting some (old) narrow reeded glass.

Cuts need to be both across and with the reed.

Last time we tried it I got a glazier mate in and he fked it so I'm guessing with old glass its going to be a case of more luck than judgement.

Any tricks for this?
