Not sure what the form is with asking for advice on here but if any of the resident experts can offer a bit of guidance please contact me.

Considering transferring out of fixed rate onto a tracker, wheich seems attractive at the moment even with redemption penalties to pay. Unless I'm missing something...

Got tracker - works really well for me, excellent rate at the moment. Make sure you know for def what info/paperowrk they need - am just sorting something for me, all was agreed on the phone and now have had to send things back three times now as they keep changing the goal posts

You need to check the paperwork to see if there is a minimum BR that the mortgage will not go below. I haven't checked my Woolwich policy which is BOE BR +0.26% but they have only just reflected the 0.5% drop from 2 months ago, I expect to see the latest 1.5% drop in Jan.
