Sorry, MBH, I've been watching the rugby. 
Pretty sure in the original the reward was 73 (?) 'white raisins of crystal quality'. Of course, many of these folk cannot read the Koran in the original, if they can even read at all, so they are somewhat at the mercy of translators/Imams.
It's rather like the 'virgin Mary' stuff, 'unmarried woman' would have been just as appropriate a translation, but where's the religeon in that?
