Oh dear, that means there a big hole in the govts coffers and they based next years budget on the revenue on oil.

Out of pocket some 10bn in tax, just coz of the oil price drop. eek

how much was petrol at the pumps last time it was that price?

I was just reading that and was wondering what the cost of fuel was in 2005 when oil was a similar price scratchchin

Even with the US $ gaining 25% since August, there is no excuse for the price at the pumps since the price per barrel has dropped by 60% since July.

Petrol prices in much of America haven't been this low for what must be 4+ years.

I love this.. time to start piling the miles on the M5 again! biggrin

Shame we can't buy them, store them, and sell when they are at a high price, oil would always be a good investment imo.

No we buy them and sell them back (in petrol) at higher prices BEFORE the market goes back up, or while its going down. Or when another billion is wasted when Brown opens his dumb f*** face with a 'plan'
