Looks tidy.

The market is pretty poor for us VR6 owners right now. You can pick up a tidy example for between £2k and £3k.

Have you joined the Corrado forum? We're a friendly bunch!

Did a bit of digging, and I am put off by the long, long history it has of various shenanigans (ie crashes, insurance company wranglings, dodgy modifications etc). I'm not saying it's not a clean car - just that I'm not willing to go up to Sheffield to look at it...

The search continues!

Next one - will check detials, but 3 month warranty sounds appealing for a 2nd hand car at this price:

Sounds like he's had a lot of work done on it, and not because it was a lemon either. This sounds like a great car and well worth a look. I think it's a good price too for what you get. My car is at 152,500 miles and it is running really well having had regular services and oil changes - under my ownership - every 5,000 miles. The fact that this car has had an engine rebuild at Stealth would be an advantage, no? I'm curious as to why he didn't alter the clocks to give the correct reading. I'd have thought this was possible.

If your digging makes you worried, then why not have a look in the PH classifieds? This one sounds good - http://pistonheads.com/sales/798534.htm Plenty of others too.

The Corrado VR6 is a brilliant car but i would sat that because I've got one thumbup

I was looking at it the otherday thinking that i'd keep it forever if it had more power and was rear wheel drive, which is where an E39 M5 comes in biggrin

Thanks for your thoughts. I have been reading up on the Corrado forums..

The car I mentioned first does sound very good initially. However, there are threads of insurance wranglings after it had been involved in an accident, had previously been a bit chavved up and also the 'engine rebuild 25k ago" was quoted verbatim last time it was sold - well over a year ago. If it had been close I'd have had a look, but just a bit too wary after all that to trek to Sheffield.

The red one from TCS seems very good value, but the dealer has a mixed reputation, and again he isn't exactly round the corner from where I live. Also, seems slightly underpriced even compared against other Corrados he is selling...?

Just missed out on seeing one that was sold today for £1600 - don't think I could have gone far wrong for that price!

Seeing one tomorrow advertised for £2.5, but think £2k is more realistic.

Loving it!

Not yet. Want to get it just right (ie new headlight loom, fix sticky throttle cable), but will then probably think about some new suspension and polybushes.

Jealous of heated seats!
