I have had a pretty good run lately on roulette, im up £230 this month. but last night i got greedy! mad I put a few chips on red 14 and it came in so won around £66.00?, but i decided to put the lot all on red to double my money, but black came in!. I ended up walking away last night £50 lighter after trying to chase my money back! lesson learnt.

I had two mates who owned a wine bar in an Oxfordshire town - one of them worked like fk to get the thing up and running - sold his house and moved into a tiny flat above the premises to get the cash together. The other 'borrowed' some money of his ailing gran ...

They invested a lot of money in it. It was doing okay - until the one whose gran gave him the money, upped his alcohol intake a hell of a lot - 'it's free innit?' and generally did fk all - shagging the waitresses in my mate's falt as he poured over the books at the end of the night ...

Ended up this tt would pocket the night's takings a couple of nights a week, drive to Southampton and play roulette ... thing is, the other guy used to let him get away with it as he was a mug.

Bar went tits up, closed, one is now in Spain, ducking and diving, the other is still paying money off what he owes, 10 years on ...

That's my casino story anyway ... hehe

Edit: from what my mate tells me, the other mate would lose up to £1000 in a night ... often in an hour.

Amature.

I've not done too badly at the proper tables, worst i have ever lost on one of those was £40 but the 'real' loss was the £25 I had started with so no pain there.

I have lost about £100 in fruties (shiny, flashy, bright lights) in one night a couple of times when i was younger but now limit myself to £25 max state if i ever do start to play them, usually stopping either no more than £10 down or when i've made enough profit to stand a round/money for the meal.

Years ago there were 10-20 of us who all used to meet up in a pub every Thursday for a long night of drinking, talking st and shooting pool until the early hours. They had a frutie there which i had sussed and more often than not I would pay for my night out and for the following week's ciggies (LL would accept tokens towards them and drinks). Then all of a sudden the machine didn't seem to work like it had. between 5 of us we had a go at 'breaking' it with about £250 going in and only a very few small wins dropping in. 100% certain it had been 'fixed'. That was the last night we drank there for a good few years.

You went gambling and lost £50? Lucky you.

I've done FAR worse than that at the Black Jack tables.... weird thing is, I still end up even for the year, no matter how well or badly I do.

I lost 800 of winings and 250 from my own pocket tuesday night

Greed is number one fault of anyone that thinks they can win any sort of money. Bet small , take your winnings and go .

I won £400 last night from 40 quid

So from my 20 quid investment Im still up £150 but it could ve been all soo different

Roulette in the Casino at Spa last month, don't want to think about the €200 I put down (after getting it from the cashier) after it was 7 red's in a row on the table. I'd already put down a lot as I had around €600 on the table at one point.

Ended up with 13 reds in a row, will walk away earlier in the future as that was an expensive night out.

I love casinos, you have to be careful and only bet what you can comfortably afford to lose. In contradiction to this rule I dropped $2500 in vegas a few years ago as a direct result of getting pissed. Walked away dejected at the end of the evening.

In direct contrast I then won $5000 on the last night as did a lot of my friends (loading boxes together on craps) and we got the full treatment after we made it clear we'd finished gambling for the evening- dinner, champagne, limo to club etc.

Now I know that they want you to go back and lose the money you won but a few comp consolation drinks after losing would have endeared me much more to the establishment than the winners treatment.

I had a table closed on me when my 19 and neighbours bet came up a few times in a row so it's not only the punters who think that sometimes a wheel isn't true.

I lost $3,000 in Vegas one night. That hurt quite a lot. By the end of the trip, I had managed to reduce the overall loss to about $200, so I was a lot happier.

Note to self - there is a reason why they give you free Mohito's while you are playing the tables banghead

Double up when you lose, but you need a big bank roll if your losing streak is long and you may hit the table limit before you win.

£20, but then I don't know how to play biggrin

Strange situation one of my friends is in due to gambling, he earns good money, I mean, really good money for what he does, but he has over the past few years spunked it away playing poker. 2 or 3 times a week he has lost into 4 figures, typical gambler mentality, once its gone its gone, but the next time he goes in & home again, 2 grand up he forgets the thousands and thousands he has lost over the past month.

They he sits & moans about his driveway needs replacing & he can't afford it. It would cost him 2 nights in a casino.

Madness.

Biggest win was £600 in one hours (roulette) play at Palm Beach on Grovsner SQ.
Biggest loss was around $400 in one night in Vegas.

One of my mates lost £2500 in one night in Eastern Europe somewhere.

Off to Vegas for a week end of Nov tongue out
