A chap in Mexico needs to pay me for services rendered. If he was in the UK I'd just say send me a postal order... does anyone know how feasible it is for someone in Mexico to do the equivalent?

I know that international versions of postal orders do exist in various forms, but in looking for information on this specific case all I can find is various implications that not all international POs are available in all countries and not all of them are accepted by all countries. If anyone could tell me whether there is a type available in Mexico and accepted in the UK, it would be appreciated.

TIA...

I don't have a paypal account... How does Western Onion work then? I've only ever heard of it as an enabling facility for ebay scams...

something along the lines of -
they go to an office, hand over a wad of cash and get a code number

you then walk into another western union, give them the code and claim the money

Can you trust this person?

You should be able to do a SWIFT type payment, you'll need to send him your IBAN and BIC codes. Your branch should be able to provide these if they aren't already available from your bank statements.

Other than that a bankers draft posted should be ok.
