My Mum took her right hand drive 2006 Hyundai Tucson with her when she moved to France a couple of years ago. She is finding it increasingly difficult to drive the car at night on unlit roads as the headlights are pointing in the wrong direction. She has been told by Hyundai that her headlights cannot be adjusted so I have been trying to find some left hand drive headlights for her car.

I have searched in all the usual places but the only place I have been able to find who will supply them is Hyundai, and they want £1200 for a pair.

Does anyone know someone who breaks left hand drive cars who might be able to help me? Or alternatively, are there any Hyundai employees/dealers on here who might be able to wangle me some at a more reasonable price?

Any help would be appreciated.

Won't this do?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Super-Beam-Benders-foreign...

Product Description
To be legal in countries which drive on the right, you must ensure your headlights are adjusted to avoid dazzling oncoming vehicles. Most easy - fit adaptors simply block a large part of the light output from your lights. These Metro Super Beam Benders, however, actually divert the light back to your side of the road, avoiding dazzling but putting the light to good use! Universal fit for any car - can also be used for converting a left hand drive car for use in the UK. Easy to fit and remove

British forces personel moving back from Germany may have LHD lights they wish to swap or sell. You could try posting on: http://www.arrse.co.uk/cpgn2/Forums/viewforum/f=40...

I bought some universal headlight converters which were the usual rubber triangles with a guide for most cars on the ferry, I have seen them in halfrauds too.

Or have a look on American ebay and get them shipped across, that's what we do in Spain for cars on RHD (that can't be adjusted).

All Universal Head Light converters really do is stop oncoming traffic getting dazzled. They don't effectively redirect the beam to the opposite side of the road and they reduce the quality and quantity of light produced. She has been using these for a couple of years (as required by law) and they are not helping much.

That e-bay link looks promising and there are a few other good ideas posted up here that should keep me busy.

Cheers for the help so far!
