Rinse things before putting them in, clean filters ect regularly.

Our bosch had a similar problem, turns out a filter was really clogged up. Not a nice job sorting it.

Still beats washing up though!

Clean the filter and strainer basket out.
Rinse agent and clean the worst off before putting them in there.

From the responses so far I guess that blokes consider the Dishwasher another powertool in our collection. I bet we don't know as much about the Washing Machine or where the Iron lives laugh

Some dishwashers have a centre pop up or drop down feed the top chrome spinning thing.
If mine is loaded wrongly, eg a plate or dish is allowed to flop over it will not feed the spinner.

Our appliance guy recommended "tang" an orange drink for cleaning, it removes old soap. (soap high PH citrus low PH)

Clean the filters & the drain.

It's down to the machine not draining completely before starting its drying cycle, hence it's baking the bits of stuff onto your cutlery.

Once you have removed the crud from the drain, ccyle the machine with a dose of dishwasher cleaner in it, and Robert should be your paternal relative's sibling...

Try changing your powder/tablets.......they are not all the same, and don't fill your machine too much.....allow more water to "swish" round..................

With regard to it being blocked, don't they all have "masticators" now ?

That's like a small waste disposal thing that chops up any small peices and keeps the filtre free.
You would see water left at the end of the wash if the filtre was blocked.

Are you running a dishwasher cleaner throught it every 3 months or so?

Ours needs that to keep going well.
