Hi
I have had one of the above installed. The problem is now I can only watch digital TV i.e through the Freeview box. If I try to watch "normal" TV there is no signal. Not a massive problem other than I have to switch the telly on with one remote then change to the freeview remote even if I want to watch the "normal" 5 channels. Is there a fault with the aerial or is that how digital aerials work?
Thanks

It ake it they've hooked up your tv to the Freeview box via a SCART...Why would you want to watch analogue TV ?

Yes they have. I don't want particularly to watch analogue but I wondered if the aerial was faulty or if it can only a recieve digital signal?

I had a digital arial installed, but can still receive analogue if I want to. Have you tried retuning the analogue channels on your TV? Also worth checking to see if your digi box has got an analogue aerial output which you need to connect directly to your TV (this is how mine works).

as has been previously said, you'll probably fiond they havent installed an analogue aerial lead from the freeview box to the telly. It will still work if correctly connected.

I still have to resort to analogue occasionally. Anytime the weather is bad we lose ITV , sometimes channel 4 and 5 as well. If there is something important on (F1 for example) we just watch it on analogue instead.

Have they connected the RF Loop Through from the Freeview box to the TV?

Same here. 95% of my viewing is Channels 1-5 and using analogue saves me firing up the Freeview box (which usually needs 'rebooting' anyway rolleyes ) Input select on the TV then switches between analogue 1-5 and digital 1-99.

For anyone who like watching adverts and repeats, Freeview is a must. Otherwise you have still have the 5 proper channels smile

ETA and as for an aerail being 'digital' - bks - it's just a bigger lunp of metal more carefully aligned, because the digital signal is so weak and crap.
