Picking up my M3 this week, its only got a single CD loader on the dash and no multichanger in the boot. Noticed in the boot of the M3 however that there seems to be a void in the compartment where a multichanger would usually be fitted.

If I picked up a multichanger from another e46 would it be compatible in the M3? If so, how easy to fit.

Thanks.

I THINK that all E46s are pre wired for this.
Check the plug is behind the boot trim and get the relevant changer from Ebay. Plug and play . . at least it was on my non-M coupe.
Can'e believe an M3 would be any different.

Yes, very easy DIY. Plug and play!

Also if you get a newer changer it will be able to play MP3 disks. My '00 328 can play MP3 cds with the changer from my '06 Z4..
