City Break @ Christmas

Help required please,

I'm looking to take the other half on a break between the 28th - 31st. Only time we're off together, I'd like her to enjoy it and it be somewhat romantic (come on, flame me!).

Can someone suggest anywhere half decent; that won't cripple me with it being a recession and Christmas...

The Peak District perhaps? Bakewell or Buxton are both nice.

Infact Matt, I can recommend a cottage in Bakewell too. Owned by a mate of my sisters.
