Just started playing squash and it looks like its going to be a regular thing so I want to buy myself a racket but I have no idea what to get. Probably looking to spend £30, anyone got any advice on what to or what not to get?

In all honesty just get whatever racquet you fancy the look of as it is going to make little difference to your game if your are starting out. Choose one of the big names e.g. Prince, Head, Wilson in your price range.

you can get a Wilson hyper hammer 110 online for about 40 quid, sightly over budget but a good racket at a good price

It's on phdsports.com, I've bought from them before, seem pretty reliable. There is also a head for 40 quid, seems pretty good

Hi Soprano

I've had a look at this website and some of the rackets on here look good. Perhaps you might want to get a new one and it may improve your own game? laugh

if you're a bigger guy, a lighter racquet will help with shorter shots as your weight and power will overcome the defecit

vice-versa if you're smaller/lighter as a heavier racquet helps build power into your shots.

depends how you play really - try someone else's a few times and see how you go.

I got a nice and light titanium Dunplop for £20, reduced from £40 - thanks anyway!
