I think it was a fabulous 3 mins. At times sports cars vied for supremacy with F1 and that was where many manufacturers put their money. The interest in the formula made Ferrari pull out as they could not really compete. I think the best 105 minutes of racing I ever saw was at Donnington in, I think, 89 with the Mercs and Jags thumping it out and the sole Aston getting in the way. Mind you, it was a six hour race and the balance wasn't all that thrilling with the Mercs in charge, but that first 30% was stunning.

As one-make series go I reckon a 935 one would even usurp Procar (sorry Sean if you read this, but you know what I mean...).
