yes, yes, I know I should talk to a doctor, but ive tried NHS direct and i cant find anything about what it could possibly be, and how do i know whether or not its an emergency? If it isnt, then it'll be a week or so before i can see the doc anyway..

So, over to PH - what is wrong with my eye?

You've just popped a blood vessel, it'll go in a couple of days, don't worry about it.

You have eye-AIDS

Go and see a doctor. And don't take no for an answer from those old bags in reception

Take it out and wash it. Not on 60 though as it'll shrink.

Why dont you post on the internet asking for advice from 100,000 internet wannabe medics. You can then impress everyone with your hypocondria.

Thanks.

I spoke to my doctors in the meantime and they were no help - no-one here, go to the hospital if you want it checked out!

I guess i will leave it and if it doesnt improve ill go to the hospital..

Jeezouss...you need to mark this with a NSFLT. (Not suitable for lunch time!)

I'm eating!

But other than that, I can offer no useful insight other than to go see a doctor...after all you are paying for them!

hey, i got one decent answer... it helped to know what it was when speaking to the rather useless receptionist at the doctors...

(and really didnt fancy spending the afternoon at the hospital for nothing)

It's amazing how universally useless and obstructive they are! I don't think I've ever encountered a friendly or helpful doctor's receptionist in all my 24 years.

They must be demoralized by the hoardes of the undead that tredge through their lives whingeing about their pills making them fart or somesuch

Rich is just bitter after his legendary "Any medics around? I've got a week old piglet stuck in my bottom" post of 2001. It turned out some of the respondants weren't medically qualified.
