I've been thinking for a while now about non car related ways of spending big bucks, if I ever happened by them of course.

I've come to the conclusion that as much as I like cooking having a cook would be a fantastically useful luxury that would really give you more time to get on with life. By cook I mean someone who would come and do lunch and dinner according to a menu agreed with you with decent ingredients and then tidy it all up after. Say 6 days a week.

Can you imagine how much time that would buy you if you shop/cook/tidy up for a family?

I can't think of a more useful luxury than that in the idle hours... can you?

A cook/housekeeper to take care of all the mundane daily stuff would be very cool

If it's useful, it isn't a luxury (that's my story and I'm sticking to it until HMRC prove me wrong).

That's going to get boring after a while though isn't it - especially if you're still finding interesting ways to liven up a macoroni cheese.
