just scanned my system and found one on my drive. norton couldnt repair it so i already deleted the file. any other steps i should take to deal with it. parents are gonna kill me if i ruin my computer. thanks for any help.

Download Spybot from www.safer-networking.org/
and Ad-aware www.lavasoftusa.com/

and run them both. Should find most things but there are some pesky trojans etc that even they wont find.
If you are still worried, download
HijackThis and send the result to your favourite virus forum.

Ask your parents to pick you up a copy of Norton internet security. It is a nice firewall program that alerts you to attacks, plus alerts you to any attempted outgoing "bad" connections...

oy, thanks for help. i try some of those proctection programs and i think that we already got a firewall of some sort on our network. ill ask em about it later.
