A strange RAF related request...
Discussion
I've hunted the internet but I cant find anything close to what I'm after.
Does anyone have a photo of an RAF Control Tower, not really bothered how recent, would prefer colour if possible. Ideally with an aircraft in the picture too, but that isn't very important.
I'm creating my own handouts for an ATC subject to give to the cadets and I'm trying to find a relevant photo for each chapter to go on the front cover. The chapter I'm on just now is, obviously, Air Traffic Control.
TIA
Stuart.
I cant help but think I should have posted this in the photo forum.

The first shot shows a typical 1930/40s "Watch Tower" (they weren't called Control Towers until after WW2) The glass structure on top is tne post war Control Tower. Many RAF bases use this this type of arrangement. As you can see, they are fairly low buildings and nothing like the type of Control Tower you see at civilian airports.
Here at Farnborough, the original tower was demolished and replaced by an ultra modertn "tower". The original building did not comply with modern CAA standards for civilian airfields and was sited too close to the runway threshold.
