How has the "credit crunch" affected you?
Discussion
For me (20 yr old living at home with parents) it's meant two things, cheap petrol and how anything even remotely sporty has halved in value, and anything with a diesel engine has doubled, lucky me come upgrade time in Feb

So at the moment..it's all good, wonder how secure my job is...

In exactly the same boat as you
Nice low mileage 306 HDi being traded for a E46 330ci sometime next Spring, should be an easy trade up
, and house prices are dropping which is also good news as far as I am concerned
Doesnt really bother me as I have no debt (well £9k student loan, but that doesnt really count)

So what happens if you get made redundant and your parents house gets repo'd?

Doubt you'd be as happy then?
Having had to make redundancies before and facing the fact that I may well have to again, puts upgrading of ones car rather irrelavant. Enjoy it whilst you can!
Whilst it may not affect you now it may well in the future and house buying now is just as hard for first time buyers as any other time you need a big deposit and the Interest Rates available are unfairly high.

With the portent of last summer on, a change of business plan was needed. So the advent of the crunch led to a change in the type of business bid for and work undertaken (now, during the crunch) to try and offset the impact as far as possible.
Sympathies to everybody caught up and adversely affected.

Well we have money in the bank and no debts,Both mine and my GFs job look safe so far, But with alot of my friends job looking ropey and my dads work have laid off 100's, Were wary of looking at houses to get back on the property ladder in case we lose an income.
Job security is my main concern at the moment.
