He has obviously found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Yay for Gordon!

What? The pot of gold is being borrowed to jump start an economy in time for a re-election and will be paid for by us and our children for years? Bad Gordon.

UK = Ocean Finance economy at it's finest. Maybe we'll even have enough left for a holiday or a new camcorder.

I don’t think anybody is being fooled by such a blatant attempt at bribery!

That's very generous of him - especially since he put the up in the first place.

I expect that he'll delay the proposed increase in Corporation Tax from 21% to 22% on 1 April 2009 (he had already increased it from 19% plus abolished the £10,000 Zero Rate Band).

Dont know if anyone caught GMTV this morning? (not my choice in the morning but its not worth the argument with er indoors at that time of the morning!)

Basically GB had decided to let a family into Number 10 to ask him questions about the current situation and GMTV were filming it. They had a lovely shot of the family outside and knocking on the door of Number 10 and then being given a tour by GB.

Considering that Fiona Philips was offered a job to become a consultant and Kate Garraways husband was a Labour Spin doctor the whole thing was farcical, infact in the end i was almost screaming at the TV, my piss was boiling that much.

The sheep will listen and vote - FFS.

Likely that those who arent eligible for rebates and other funding wont be eligible for tax cuts either is my guess

Groucho is right, no matter how much the general public moan and whinge about the current administration, come an election they will baaaa and bleat like good little sheep, and vote labour back in. Why? because maggie thatcher ruined the country(She didnt, but we wont go into that here), and the only party worth voting for is red! Then once they have done that, cue lots of bhing along the lines of:

" f'ing government, ripping us off for petrol/food/taxes etc"

And if we are lucky, the SNP will hoover up a nice selection of Scottish votes, enough to destroy the Nu Laba scum.

As for tax cuts, what he means is reducing some taxes to a slightly higher level than they were before he came to power. He's going to nearly bankrupt this country..

He will borrow to cut taxes, and try to fiddle the figures to hide it. That is his standard tactic.

Why is there no thread on Gordy's plans to cut taxes? Probably because they'll be available only to pensioners living with their parents. Or similar.

Or labour voters.

A tax cut funded by borrowing is only going to come back later as yet more tax, plus interest.

i watched that and all i could think was that GB's replys were all the same 'when the rates come down for your mortgage you will be better off' and that was pretty much his only answers to this family, it was an utter load of fcensoredking tosh!!! the interview was to be pre empted though really, was more of an advert about the 'forced intrest rate cut' to make us better off in these hard time.

GB what a fcensoreding tcensoredt
