On one side there are the rights of the press, freedom of speech and this thing we call democracy. Yet on the other side we have the press doing what they damned well please WRT our private lives and claim it's in the public interest.

really? Since when did the 'moral right' ever get in the way of a big fat 'juicy' story.
The squealing hypocracy of some parts of the press have been prevalent for years.
I can't help but wonder if this story is more to do with the sour grapes of a lost court case than anything to do with trying to highlight the need for 'public vigilance' surrounding this case.
