Volt meter - quick question

Hi all,

Noticed since the lights re-wire the volt meter on my S reads 14 1/2 (no load) and 13 (lights on). It used to read about 1 to 1/2 below this.

Anything to be concerned about?

No, it's all good, perhaps your previous wiring was loading up the battery excessivly, hence your new improved readings.

is that the voltage at the lights or at the battery?

if at the lights then the re-wire has probably eliminated some voltage drop.

In any case, it doesn't sound like anything to worry about.

As shown on the volt meter dial.

Journey today went well. Car seemed to be running really well, and we did the whole journey without breakdown - hopefully proof that the overheating issues and leaking gaskets are now all sorted
