Every since the Little Britain sketch where Mr Dudley marries mail order bride Ting Tang Macadingdong my visual field has become very sensitive to noticing older Western men with much younger foreign women. Yesterday in York I saw a fat bald guy in his 60's with a young Black girl who he seemed to have dressed in his dead wife's clothes. Arm in arm, I have to say they looked happier than most of the Peter Storm, Rohan trouser wearing couples who probably claim a 'love' marriage.
Anyway, got me thinking about how successful those relationships were and whether the bloke leaves himself open to her divoring him in 2 or 3 years and taking his house back to Uzbecistan? What is in it for her, longer term? I can understand escaping poverty and helping out the family back home but doesn't seeing other woamn with their chosen lifestyles/partners finally get to the women?
I am stuck for a Chrimbo present for my single 45 year old brother in law and if they give Nectar points this could be an option.

isn't there a story on here somewhere of the guy who gave 15% of his company to to his wife to prove his love and the relationship went sour. Ended up loosing control of his business after a 50:50 asset split and got sacked by the controlling interest.

a bloke that I know via work is currently in the process of buying himself a new missus. Apparently he has the choice of two, one of which has been over to see him already. Neither speak English. He went over to wherever not so long ago and came back with pictures of one, saying that he would be married within 6mths, with a child within 18mths and he was really happy. Apparently he and the new "fiancee" will not be consumating the marriage until the honeymoon. All I can imagine is him finding two extra balls that evening!
He's been married before and has a kid. I can only assume the breakup of that has severely damaged his ability to see sense.

Many of these relationships are very successful, they are very symbiotic.
The harsh reality of many women around the world is that they are after security (i.e money) and many will put up with a lot (i.e old western men) to try and bring some money into their lives for themselves and family. It's not wrong or bad, it's just the way many of these cultures are and even when marrying their own they will treat finances as more important than we do in the west. They are certainly more direct and open about it.
So the old guy gets a younger, devoted wife, the foreign girl gets a wealthy man. Sometimes either or both are very disappointed and it ends badly, but I certainly know many mixed couple where the relationship is pretty strong and there is genuine love. Although I have to admit most of them are where the male is 30-50 and the girl 20-30, rather than the 60yo with 19yo.

That's just a rental though rather than buying one in My brother is 36 and he went to Thailand and he is seeing a 24 year old Thai girl.... She is over here at the moment until either just beofre or just ater xmas (can remember which) althogh is is quite fit, Im very sceptical over her motives.....

I think it is a great idea, some older guy gets to bang an often gorgeous blonde who in return treats him like a king. As for the guy that said people are laughing at them, i think you will find it is them laughing at us stuck with our older mileage wives that think nookie is a chore to perform once a blue moon

Why not just get a homegrown chubber* [assuming you're not from Thaliand or Latvia] who will appreciate you, and not worry about being done over every time you go to sleep. I'm not envious of people who get a mail-order bride - it's like being envious of your neighbour's Mondeo Convertible - nothing special and you know several people have been inside it already.

Often these guys are sick of acidic, drunken British women who are quite confrontational and difficult to live with. Many of them get the chance to meet girls who treat them better, are younger, fitter and more feminine than women in the UK. Of course it's a business deal, but it seems to be win/win in most cases I've seen - and I've seen many being in the Oil Industry. The guys gets what he wants, the girl gets to live in relative luxury and know that she'll be taken care of even when the old guy 'pops his clogs'!
People moaning about it are just bigoted, racist, jealous or all three.....IMHO.
Should also mention, the guys I know haven't gone 'Mail Order' (should it be 'Female Order'?), they've met women on overseas postings and it's just 'worked'.
