Toilet Cameras

Apparently my local has now got cameras installed in the toilets to catch druggies.
There is not a big drug problem and i find this rather intrusive.

Is this legal? Obviously they can't have cameras overlooking the throne so they're not exactly going to catch anybody racking up on the cistern anyway.

It's not so much where i work as some of the weirdos who we have working for us, the type of people who decide to take a dump on the floor next to the sinks inorder to piss management off!

Never fails to amaze me how many people seem to have no ability to actually use a toilet. Strangely the higher management floors are often the worst.

Our local secondary school has cameras in the boys bogs. I know this because they rent out the school's rooms at the weekend to the local IAM Group I am a part of.

They even have the audacity to announce that the cameras do not affect your privacy!

Now - I fully understand the reason they are there and it isn't because anyone connected in any way is a paedo - but, hell, it does look bad!

I grant you, I'm not exactly working in a highly-skilled area, but this amazes me too - the number of times I've gone into our toilets, and found it unflushed, or just left in various disgusting states... it's like working in a nursery...
