Got a letter from the bank today requesting I pay £105 worth of bank charges, for 30th Oct in which apparently I went to the same petrol station on 4 different occaisions and spent a total of £54.07. I honestly can't remember going to the petrol station at all that day :-S let alone either withdrawing or using that amount of money, what do I do next?

Petrol stations are primary locations for card cloning. Did they try and put through a £1 or so cheap item to test it before spending harder on it?

The petrol station will have CCTV, but it won't go that far.

Just be patient, it will get sorted when you get through smile

It was £10, then £10, then £20, then £14.07

I'm trying, I've moved all my funds across to another account til I can get through to the bank.

You need to get your card withdrawn immediately. You'll need to get a new one. As for the charges simply say it wasn't you. If they demand proof tell them you're changing banks and contacting Watchdog. That will do the trick.

I've had my card details stolen twice and both times the bank rang me within 10 minutes of the transaction and asked if it was me who had made it. I said no. A few days later I had my money back and a new card.
