is it possable to inprove on the way oil breath's on a 3.5 v8 and how would it help the engine and is it worth doing.
thanks
Tony
You could use a pipe from the breather, routed thru an anti backfire valve into the exhaust pipework.
Goes by the name of an "evacusump" system.
Cant use it on a turbo tho.
Reduces oil leaks to zero, and burns products of combustion that blow-by the rings.
is it possable to tap in a pipe some where in the block with a oneway filter on the end

thanks for your replys deltaf
Just re-read your question: The filter idea is possible if you were to use a small k+n type that attached directly to the breather on the valve covers.
Hope that helps a bit.
The standard breather on recent RV8 TVRs takes a breather from one of the rocker covers and feeds it into the throttle body. Does yours not have this?
yes mine is the standed set up, but was lead to belevie that the better the engine breathed the cooler the engine would run, so if i was to redirect the breather say by tapping into the exhaust with a non return valve or to a non return filter, then the in take tempreture would have to be less.

Law of diminishing returns. Most competition V8s have the rocker covers tapped and large diameter hose leading to a catch tank so that the pressurisation does not cause the crank seals to leak. Feeding it into the intake means not having to empty the tank every so often!
