He looks like a right little in that picture doesn't he?

Seven years for attempted murder is a bit lenient no?

Looking at the article I started thinking "it's all foreigners, thank god this kind of thing doesn't happen in England"

How could I have got that wrong?

As well as the attempted murder charge on Ahmed, Elmansouri was sentenced for a further seven years for each of two counts of grievous bodily harm, to run concurrently.
They've made a mistake, it should have read... Consecutively either that or just a death sentance now.

Seven years, wow, that'll show him. Should be tied up and chucked into landfill, and I'm not joking.

7 years for basically trying to take someones head into two peices? What a joke.

Amazing that he survived that.

There was a guy drove himself to hospital with a similar sized knife in his skull at the hospital my mates girlfriend works at in Glasgow.

It had gone in from the back and was nearly out through his cheek. Managed to drive himself all the way to hospital with his son and then fainted in the waiting room.

I've seen the x-ray pics and it is almost unbelievable he lived never mind drove himself in. Its amazing some of the things a human body can survive!

Seven years? Try a rope, a weight, and the Irish Sea. "Sploosh, and the filth is gone!" yes

He probably walked straight into the waiting room, then collapsed... I doubt the nurse would of said, "Oh, please wait over there, we have a 4 hour queue, but don't worry, you're right behind the guy having the light bulb taken out of his ass." rolleyes

He didn't get 7 years, he got "an indeterminate life sentence".

Yes it could be 7 years, but it could also be 70+ without a guaranteed release date if he doesn't appear to rehabilitate. Such sentences are potentially the severest that can be passed I think.
