Whats Worse?

What's worse, causing someone's pain and suffering, or laughing at someone's pain and suffering?`

and why?

my OH does both.

call me insensative but i would laugh in both cases first of all and then weigh up if i then have to be concerned or can carry on rolling and wetting myself at the same time.

causing. laughing is a reaction and someone's pain may well appear amusing on face value.

standing idly by and watching someone be made to suffer is worst of all.
