If I had a few million, and I had even the slightest idea of how to fly one, it's definately something a EuroMillions Jackpot win would have to experience.

biggrin

The only way you'd get that thing to fly again is to tow it to Beachy Head on a low-loader and heave it over the edge.

I do have a couple shares for sale on behalf of co-owners in both the Yak and the Pitts if you're interested though - Yak 1/10th offers circa £4K, £180 an hour wet airborne (exact rate tracks monthly fuel price), £65 a month; Pitts circa £9K for a 1/5th share, £85 an hour wet airborne, £80 a month. Much better value I'm sure you'll agree, and no need to heave anything off a cliff.

No engineering support, no chance of getting a CofA or a Permit to fly, and it looks like its been parked in a field for a long, long time, which tells you something. Everything else aside, even if there was any paperwork associated with it, I'd be very wary of its provenance.

There's a T-33 parked up at North Weald, which I understand was imported from the US years ago with ostensibly valid paperwork, and punted around the UK airshow circuit for a season - at the first major maintenance they found that the main spar had been drilled, and some further investigation revealed that it was a condemned airframe and the paperwork was bogus.

A Euromillions win would see me in that like a rat up a pipe.
