Hi all,

Can anyone advise the best place to park and ride into london if im driving from up north down the M1?

I have to take my car, so train only isnt an option, and i will be staying overnight in London so the carpark needs to be one where i can keep my car overnight.

Is luton airport parkway the best bet or is there anything closer to London?

Any help appreciated..

I've done something similar and parked at Cockfosters tube station (about 2 miles from the M25 junction 24).

I used to drive to Stanmore and take the train from there to Central London!
+1, though i park up outside northwick park for the met line rather than going through stab alley.

piece of piss from the m1, come off at junction 4 and its a ten min. drive. on street parking FOC, never had a problem with it.

I always use Edgware, off the M1 at junction 4. There is a commuters car park behind the shopping centre which is £2.50 a day. Then straight onto the Northern line into the centre.

It's traffic dependent.

Luton is much better if you're traveling when the M1 is a mess, which it often is through the roadworks that are south of there.
