We are urgently looking for a volunteer to manage rifle shooting for the blind in St. Austell.
We meet every Wednesday from 2 - 4 pm, but the volunteer needs to be there from 1 - 5 pm to prepare the range and restore it afterwards.
Many helpers are available.
Full training would be given.
I'm sure that regardless of any disability, everyone should be given the chance..... but blind rifle practice?Poltair Road,

no it is easy - just give them blanks and say:
"ooh - nice shot"
or
"oh, that one was close, try again"
or
"Blimey - you couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, I suggest you stick to cricket"
at random
Or even better, just go silent after the first shot. Maybe gargle a bit."ooh - nice shot"
or
"oh, that one was close, try again"
or
"Blimey - you couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, I suggest you stick to cricket"

(
)... and yet, it does exist! A special device is mounted on the barrel that interacts with the target - as the rifle is pointing closer and closer to the bull on the target a sound is generated; the pitch changes depending on how close to the bull the rifle is pointing at the time. The trick is of course to release the shot at the right time, but instead of using a visual aid (like a metal sight or scope), an aural aid is used here.
Anyway, enough of
and more of
- as you were!

I thought there had to be more to it than simply sitting the blind chap down and telling him to blast away until he ran out of ammunition.... Anyway, enough of

How much restoration does it need? And is an hour enough?
