Ok, I need new tyres on my esprit. I want something that is available in 235/40 17 AND in a 285/35 18 so i can have front and backs the same.

I'm looking at:
- Yokohama AVS Sport
- Toyo Proxes T1-S
- Bridgestone Potenza S-03 PP

Discuss!

Oh, and if anyone has recommendations of a good cheap supplier in the midlands/oxfordshire, then lets hear it!

Cheers
Rob

Yokos or Bridgestones - very happy with both.

If I can't get the Yokos at a cheap enough price then I go for the S-03s.

I get my AVS Sports (245/40 18) mail-order for £105 each from Micheldever (Winchester unfortunately).

Thanks guys..

Apparently there are no 285 yokohamas in the country right now, and the importer has no plans to bring any in. So that rules out yokohama.

Bridgestone - no S03's available yet, but S02's are still to be had.
Unfortunately they can't guarantee that if i get fronts in S02 that there will be any S02 rears left in a couple of months time when i need them.. and i don't really want to buy 4 tyres today ;-)

So, Toyo proxes it is then: first quote 110 plus vat for the fronts (and for reference the rears are 225 plus vat - ouch!)

Had a set of Toyo Proxes on my TVR. Fab stuff! Grip like wassitsname to blanket! Only lasted about 10 minutes though
Enjoy.....

Thanks for the recommendation about Wheatley Tyres. These guys were great on price, and also checked my tracking for free. They undercut all the on-line suppliers, mail order people, micheldever, stapletons etc.

Oh, and i went for a full set of Bridgestone S02's in the end.

Thanks guys.
