Ok at first it looks a stupid post and the obvious answer is look for it, but trust me already done that!

I've lost a car radio, not normally a big issue except it's my decent one which gets swapped across in to my cars when I get them, it's a nice kenwood nothing flashy and has MP3 usb port (bang a memory stick in it and it plays your songlist) and most importantly bluetooth car kit.

I took it out of my old car, put it in the house somewhere and now can't find it, been looking for 2 weeks, torn the house to pieces it just isn't here, it can't have been pinched, and I haven't left it somewhere strange.

There must be some technique to remembering where I put it, I have an awful memory but obviously the info is in there somewhere!

Anyone got any bright ideas I've lost my sense of humour now on this one as I really can't afford to go and buy another.

Are you twiddling an imaginary dial between your thumb and forefinger as you look? That'll help.

Sounds odd, but bear with me.

Go stand in front of a mirror.
Look, don't stare, into your own eyes, and count backwards from 10 to 1.
Repeat.
This should allow you to relax.
Now, think back to when you last had it. The location, what it felt like in your hands etc. Try to utilise not just concious, but also tactile memories.
Now smash your face repeatedly into the mirror, and go away.

Try looking in the same place where you last had your sense of humour, you might get lucky.

Do you have a wife or other significant OH?

If so, trying to remember where you put it is pointless - you need to remember where they moved it to after deciding your idea of a storage location wasn't acceptable.

Its not really an easy thing to "lose" is it?
Are there any people that have access to your house (parent, siblings, friends, etc) that may have moved it and didnt think to tell you?
Many moons ago, my Mum chucked a whole load of clothes out in the dustbin, never to be seen again.
It turned out she was doing something at home, was momentarily distracted, and picked up the clothes with rubbish and binned them!
Any chance this may have happened to you?

You are quite funny. That's the second time I have read one of your posts and almost smiled.

So much bitterness for someone so new.

You are the abandoned lovechild of rich1231 and ICMFP.

Hijack a plane and crash it into your house and completely level it, then tell the police that it crashed because you placed a bomb on there, inside a Kenwood head unit. The accident investigators will eventually find all the pieces and will even reconstruct it for you.

Then, in about20 years or so you should get it back.

Read it a third time and look up the longer words.

You may even laugh.

Telling you to look up the longer words when I've spotted at least one typo may have been counter productive. hey ho.
