An Appeal to Reason : a cool look at global warming

LSE site said:
Lord Lawson argues the case for a fully formed view of global warming, and against hysterical environmentalism. He looks at the facts behind the headlines and explains that for governments to make informed decisions about the path ahead, they must listen to economists as well as scientists, utilising economic forecasting to assess the likely evolution of the world economy.
Thought it might appeal to some on here.

Incidentally there are quite a few other interesting lectures this season.

I can thoroughly recommend his book. No doubt many in government have read it, but no doubt the lure of extra tax will be too much for the grasping one-eyed berk.

Do me a favour and ask what caused the global warming 10000 years ago when we had the last ice age. Also why 2000 years ago Yorkshire had a thriving wine industry due to the vineyards that were so favoured witrh the Romans. Unlss they had secret grapes that could grow in the low temps we have i would say that average temp is now lower than 2000 years ago.

So basically the climate has been going up and down since the dawn of time and all these lentil munchers are achieving is giving the government excuses to tax us more. It was the end of the world by nukes when we had the cold war. Since that ended they have moved onto "global warming" which i am betting a quite a few including myself wish it would hurry up as it is freezing here, snow yesterday too for some.
