Seriously, where the fk do I start?

How hard can it be to find a job in my area for a graduate engineer? What is with all this 'fill-in-this-form-so-you-can-look-at-the-jobs-we-may-have-sometime' bullst, just so you can go on to some other webpage and click on some little squares that show how much of a 'team player', who is 'capable of taking his own initiative' you are?

Why can there not be somewhere that advertises some companies, that make some stuff, that want good graduates? All it needs is an address to where I can send my CV so if someone likes it they can invite me in for an interview. How hard can it be?

Yes this is a thinly veiled request for a job designing and assembling rally cars.

You start by applying for and doing crap jobs, rather than thinking that a degree instantly gets you into a good one.

hehe

I'm a tractor driver.

I don't really mind what I do, I just find dealing with companies' HR departments a bit of a hassle. Agriculture is much easier. Phone someone up, ask for a job, go and meet them, get job or get told to jog on. Easy.

Oh you're just the kind of person they're looking for evidently! rolleyes

That much of a team player you can't even follow their process without whining? If you don't like it then use some of that initiative that they're trying to ascertain exists and do something about it?

If you think there's sufficient demand for this "somewhere" that advertises companies that "make stuff" why not create it? If it already exists - use it instead of fecking complaining.

And if that doesn't work you could always try applying some more of that initiative and look online for names and addresses and write to people direct. FFS there can't be that many companies in the UK that design and assemble rally cars!

Yell.com?

Then phone the company directly, speak to HR, and ask who to send the CV to?
