Yes - no ?
Currently got a Grif thought about a 3200 but dont want to sell the grif and coudln't afford both and also not keen on depreciation !
I know it will go wrong and cost to maintain which is not a problem used to that !!
Are they fun ? - does the air con actuallly work on them ? etc are they usually rusty etc
Any comments appreciated - got to go wife calling ------

k595 said:Mine works, but you ought to know that the cold air only comes out of the central vent and not the others...which is a bit of a pain as it means you have to take turns being cool if you've got a passenger!

They don't have the rust protection of a modern car. It will help an awful lot if it's garaged and mostly used in the dry. Rust is generally more likely at the front, since oil leaks help prevent it going rusty from the engine aft!
Check the GT4 in my profile for running costs. Parts availability is excellent, especially here in the UK.
I love 'em, including their looks (some dont). They're usually well looked after but there's enough of them around to shop and get a good 'un. Air con is quite acceptable (if not spectacular) in my GTS (similar mechanicals).
One question though, would you be happy with the performance drop ? (though they're very entertaining to drive, and have superb handling)

Did you see the 308 GT4 in Autosport last week - 50,000 miles - £4,995 - body needs attention...!
BTW what about a Mondial QV? Verdi have one for £12k on their website...
...and whilst I'm on here, what are the views on lhd 328s as opposed to rhd 308s. The former can be had from £20k, the latter about the same money for a decent private example I think I'm right in saying?...and what are the downsides of a US market 328?
I've been thinking seriously about buying a 308/328 for some time now and am starting to feel the money burning a hole in my pocket...

Had one from January till about June this year. Sold it to a guy with a client in Japan but still miss the drive and the sounds.
Really enjoyed her and had no problems apart from the fact that some of the seals were failing due to her being stored for a while. 11,500 miles in 25 years!
Good first Ferrari and not too dear to run provided you buy a good one. Get her inspected!
Have a look at the Ferrari Owners Club.
Enjoy!

fun ? YES
expensive to maintain ? NOT IN YOUR NECK OF THE WOODS
quick ? err clocked by plod @152mph
handle ? yes but no on corners with ripples
I track my car 4-5 times/yr and put approx 10-12K miles on it and spend about $2-3K AUD/yr at the Ferrari dealership (about 1200 pounds) so a lot of fun for the money and a good performer on the track as well
