How much Beer?

How much beer do you drink a week? I drink at home mostly as it's cheaper, i work weird hours and i recently moved so don't have any 'beer pals' as yet. I counted last week and it was more then 40 cans of carlsberg....... I don't drink spirits/wine/lighter fuel just me' trusty old Carlsberg. Would you say 40 cans is too much? I'm not worried as i go to the gym for 2 hrs / 3days a week, have a very physical job, and walk 3 miles a day (at least!) with the dog. It just seems to me like a lot?

So tell me am i a carlsberg junkie????

Depends - tend not to drink at all in between shifts, but make up for it on my days off


Doing 4 on/4 off and I can quite easily have 6 or 8 cans of Export a night, so no, I don't think you're OTT. Except you should try Export, makes 'ordinary' Carlsberg taste like pish.

yeah ya see i do like the export stuff but its too strong to be drinking the quantity i do.....

I once drank 60 cans in 72 hours... messy weekend...... I don't seem to get the hangovers either unless i drink port......

I would say that is a lot - yes !!.

Drink rarely at home, prefer drinking down the pub on a friday/saturday night.

Cider for me but probably only 3-4 pints a week unless its a big occasion.

i cant remember how much i drank last week but it did seem to take some time to get wrecked, the benders can last for weeks but recently they fizzle out after four or five days then after some sleep and a fry up its groundhog day again...eeh its fun runnin yer own pub

Just a pint or two of Guinness if I am out with friends, which is probably once or twice a week.

According to the Carlsberg site, you are drinking 68 units a week. All cause mortality is lowest between 7.7 and 12.9 units.

Whenever I count my bottles up in the recycling bin, I am doing between 5 and 10 units a week, but I am (happily) married with a young child.

A pint, maybe two, of guiness every two to three weeks.

6 cans of beer every day at home seems like alcoholism to me! You need help if you can't do without that much!

The recommended daily amount is 3 to 4 units, which would probably barely cover two cans. If you're having about 6 a night then you'll get issues with your liver, gym or no gym.

I generally have a few social pints a week and a beer or a glass of red with my evening meal.

i have to agree if some of our friends allied to the temperence society who have posted here. instead of nailing 6 or 8 pints per night, just have a quick half pint of Absinthe...blinding results for so much less effort.
