VW Polo Classic 1.6i - '00

Oil light flashes and buzzer sounds after about 3 minutes of driving. When starting, oil light goes out as normal...but after the 3 minutes of driving it starts to flash. Engine sounds normal and there is no loss of power. Oil levels are ok....please help.

you'll probably need to get the car's ECU scanned with a diagnostic program like vag.com, the ECU should keep a record of any fault codes that are registered which will help identify the problem.

As an example I had a problem with my ABS & ESP lights coming on which traced back to an acceleration sensor.
