Mondial costs of ownership
Discussion
I know the Mondial has always had a slightly iffy image amongst the purists, but I love 'em!
Some are very affordable to buy, but my question is this... are the running costs astronomical? I understand the 308 gtb/s is not too bad and the mondial aint too diferent mechanically (i think).
Also, (talking very hypothetically) what sort of race series would the Mondial qualify to run in (being a 4 seater) is there some sort of 80s tourer challenge or some such?
cheers guys!

Check my profile for running costs of a GT4 - the Mondial's predecessor.
Mondials are a bit more complicated, especially if QV and Fuel injected. The fixed price jobs (clutch, cambelts etc) seem to be in line with a 308.
When I was looking, I was looking at both Mondials and GT4s. It seems to me that Mondials still seem to suffer from depreciation, especially the newer ones. Also, they're slower than a 308GT4!

I used to own 3.0 QV mondial, its a nice enough starter for a ferrari, problem is because they are that much older the running costs are a lot higher and i found it a lot more expensive than running a 348, which are not that much more money than a mondial these days. In my opinion if you want a Ferrari probably best to start with a 348 if you can. If you want any more advice drop me a line
