Best Mini One D Tuning Chip?

Hi. Just bought the wife a mini one d (75 bhp). It's a nice car but lacks power. I fancy increasing the power, but safely! I don't know if i trust some of the lesser known outfits that chip or reflash the ecu. I fancy a plug in tuning box type thing rather than a full remap as we may sell the car on in a few years.

Any suggestions at a reasonable price? AMD seem good but are very expensive. TuneIt seem good value at £300 but I've not heard of them.

I know a chap who chipped his D, it made a few more bhp but kicked out loads of black smoke under load. :-)
