Where I live in Scarborough we are a fair way away from the nearest weather stations so weather reports aren't too accurate.

I fancy getting a weather station to see what is going on more accurately and wonder if anyone has any experience?

I need it to be wireless (the sensors will go on the roof which is 4 floors above me) and would like a windspeed indicator.

Having done a quick google search there seems to be a lot of different models out there, does anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking to spend less than £150 if poss.

Cheers for that but the actual figures are coming from Flyingdales, 20km away at the top of the moor, that is what I mean when I say they are too far away to be very accurate, as an example on Thursday it was howling with wind, the three weather stations nearest me were reporting maximum gusts with 20mph difference between the stations.

Surely your own weather station will just tell you what's going on where you are, at that time. This can be achieved equally by going outside. wink

Just be honest then

and say "I want a gadget."

Mum and dad had one at the airfield, think that was quite a bit more expensive though.
