It's in Motorsport News this week that No29 will be in a VX220 turbo for 2004.
The GT Cup class looks superb!

Morning all, sounds good doesn,t it. No 27, Jan Persson and yours truly will drive the 4 car, as to the drivers in 1,2, and 3, we can't release that yet, but when we do, Ted will be the first to know.
In fact, if you get a moment Ted, give me a ring and I'll update you on a few other matters we have talked about

Damn! Been sitting on that story for weeks! Should have checked when it was ok to spill the beans!
Yep, me too Ted. It got to the stage on Saturday that I was having the story told to me by so many people in the paddock that I asked Colin whether we could finally run with it. I think I, like you, recognised that a speculative story could have hurt the effort.
That aside this is great news for the series and with at least 4 other makes debuting in the Cup class in 2004 it looks like being mega!
GTO could take a step up too. several teams have plans soon to be announced of an expanded attack. 2003 was good, 2004 should be fantastic.

Rob do you plan to run 4 cars ? and will they fit into the power to weight ratio rule ?

4 cars, and yes they are spot for the P/W rules. Let me put one thing right though, Colin Blower is running this team, I am one part of it, and as yet we are still not sure if the team will be a 2 car works setup with 2 further cars as semi works or whatever, or a full 4 car works team. These issues will be resolved in the next few weeks, but it's very workable which ever way it goes.

Thanks Rob,
All the numbers with the VX add up so this should be a good car option. I will have to just make my Porsche a little quicker ?
You need to get Jay in one car.

They do don't they
by the way, we wouldn't dream of putting you through the expence of making your Porsche quicker,we'll take the 220's to 80%, that should keep us even
As to Jay, quite agree, I'd like to put him in all 4 cars we will have to see.
Sorry CBM & Tuscans 27/29...I'm sure you made the right choice for all sorts reasons...and while I am looking fwd to seeing u out there next year...giving every other runner the duel they deserve...
...having seen...by chance 2 VX's today...

I heard a rumbling at Brands last weekend that someone is looking to put a new Ford GT into the arena.Oh I so hope this is true! From what I am aware, this car isn't going to ba available until 2005,so I'm not sure if there is any basis in this story as far as next year is concerned. This wasn't told to me in confidence,by the way.Of course,it could all be speculation and rumour,I find it hard to imagine a competitive example could be found for such a new car, unless Ford are supplying competition parts.Or maybe it's that good from the factory that you can race it pretty much 'out the box'!Be an interesting sight and sound on the British GT circuit........
